MOTUL PIRELLI SHERCO RACE TEAM

JONTE REYNDERS

Bikes: 300 SEF Factory (AORC) and 500 SEF Factory (Hattah Desert Race)

2023 Race Events:
Australian Off-Road Championship, Hattah Desert Race & Tasmanian Off-Road Series

Jonte Reynders firmly cemented himself as a title threat in what can only be described as a stellar year for the 25-year-old Tasmanian native.

The 2022 season saw a series of breakout rides for the aspiring champion, including dominating his class with back-to-back wins in the final round, his first-ever double victory which saw him claw back a slew of points on rival Andrew Wilksch however ultimately falling short of the coveted E3-class AORC championship by the narrowest of margins.

2023 marks Jonte’s fifth season with Team Motul Pirelli Sherco, embarking on a new challenge by transitioning to the hotly contested E2 class aboard the Sherco 300 SEF Factory 4-stroke where he will no doubt be a title contender.

Reynders also plans to race in the new Australian GNCC series and the Hattah Desert Race whilst also defending his 2022 Tasmanian Enduro state championship.

“I’m stoked to be back with the Sherco team for another season, this year will be my fifth with the team. The transition to the 300SEF four-stroke has been seamless, I felt comfortable on it straight away and haven’t had to make any drastic changes to my set-up. I’m feeling fit and fast and looking forward to the new challenge in the E2 class”.

ANTHONY SOLAR

Bike: 300 SE Factory

2023 Race Events
: Australian Hard Enduro Championship, Australian SuperEnduro Championship

At just 28 years of age, Anthony Solar is already one of Australia’s most decorated hard-enduro riders.

After dominating the Australian hard-enduro scene in 2022, Anthony returns to spearhead Sherco Australia’s new hard-enduro effort, looking to defend his #1 plate aboard his 300 SE Factory, and is also determined to become Australia’s first SuperEnduro champion.

The likeable and easy-natured Victorian powerhouse was also the first Australian rider to successfully finish the torturous Red Bull Romaniacs event in the premier Gold Class.

“The hard-enduro scene has grown so much in Australia over the last few years. Winning the Australian hard-enduro championship last year was a dream come true, and to now be a part of a factory team with Sherco Australia is surreal.

“We have all the ingredients to repeat last year’s successes, we just need to mix them right…I’m looking forward to the year ahead”.

CHRIS PERRY

Bike: Sherco 300 SE Factory (AHEC) & 300 SEF Factory (ASEC)

2023 Race Events: Australian Hard Enduro Championship. Australian SuperEnduro Championship & Selected cross-country events.

Anthony Solar’s biggest threat is arguably his teammate Chris Perry, a fair dinkum hard enduro rider and one of Australia's most talented who equalled Solar in the 2022 Australian Hard Enduro Championship points but was edged out of the title glory by a podium countback.

Whilst he may have missed out on the bragging rights for the national title, Chris prevailed in the Victorian Hard Enduro Championship and will defend his #1 plate in 2023.

He has won the Romaniacs silver-class prologue multiple times, started from the front row in the ErzbergRodeo, and finished in the top ten at the Hixpania hard enduro.

Chris will contest the 2023 ASEC aboard the 300 SEF Factory 4-stroke before reverting to his familiar 300 SE Factory 2-stroke for the AHEC series and the Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro.

“I’m beyond excited to be part of Sherco Australia’s hard-enduro-specific factory racing team. Anthony and I have been doing this for a few years now, and we both enjoyed some support from Sherco last year, it’s great to be stepping things up for 2023 and bringing some of our key supporters and sponsors over in putting this team together.

It is the complete package now; we can be prepared and have the support we need to compete at our very best domestically and take on the world stage in selected European events”.

TIM COLEMAN

Bikes: 250 SE Factory and 300 ST-R Racing

2023 Race Events
: Australian Hard Enduro Championship, Australian SuperEnduro Championship, Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro and selected moto trials events

A moto trials, extreme enduro superstar, and an internationally lauded stuntman: Tim Coleman is one of the world’s most talented motorcycle riders!

And it doesn’t end there: he also throws on a Santa suit for an annual Christmas enduro video! There’s nothing he can’t do, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a more modest hero…
Glenmaggie (Vic) born and bred, Coleman began his motorcycle journey in moto trials and represented Australia six times in the trial des Nations competition hotbed.

He then added extreme enduro to his repertoire, an ideal disciple for those with moto trials flair. He has won the jewel in Australia’s crown: the Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro in 2020 on a Sherco 300 SE Factory.

In 2021, Coleman was stopped in his tracks by severe heat exposure sustained at the opening round of the Australian Hard Enduro Championship. After a long period of hospitalisation and a longer recovery period, Coleman grew stronger and fitter by the day. He gradually returned to racing competition in selected events. The hard enduro paddock was all the better for having fan-favourite Tim Coleman back in action, with Tim proving he still has what it takes to run with Australia’s best.

Coleman will join Solar and Perry in the Australian Super Enduro Championship aboard the Sherco 250 SE 2-stroke and compete in selected events while continuing to run his popular coaching clinics.

“Sherco is like a family to me, I’ve been with them for several years now, and I just love the people around me and having their full support, especially with my recent recovery journey. I really appreciate that there’s no pressure on me to compete full-time as I ease back into racing.

I’m really excited about the fresh start with the team for this year, with Jonte competing in traditional enduro and Anthony, Chris and myself forming the new hard enduro team, I think we have a great mix of riders, and the whole team operation has taken a step forward this year in professionalism with the new Sherco factory racing gear, we’re looking good, feeling good and I’m sure we’ll turn a few heads this year”.

Sand specialist Nathan Trigg, is not only a fan favourite but also a strong contender in Australia’s premier desert race events. Also, in his fifth season with Sherco, ‘Triggy’ a farmer and professional motorcycle racer from Ouyen (Northwest VIC), has his sights firmly set on claiming the elusive outright victory as he contests both the Hattah Desert Race and Don River Dash.
