Geelong-based off-road racer Danielle Foot exceeded all expectation in her first dedicated season of off-road racing. The motocross convert aimed for a top-five result in the 2018 Australian Off-Road Championship, yet she continually climbed the ranks to end the 11-round season in third place.
Another fine third place at the Hattah Desert Race cemented Foot as a threat for the podium in any off-road race she entered, and the momentum continues into 2019. The successful partnership between Foot and Geelong Sherco dealership, Road and River has been confirmed to continue which will see Foot race a Sherco 250 SE Factory edition in the Australian Off-Road Championship and a Sherco 300 SEF Factory edition in the Finke and Hattah Desert Races.
“I’m excited to continue the relationship with Road and River and Sherco throughout the 2019 season,” said Foot. “I’m stoked to be able to represent such a supportive and developing brand through my local dealership. The guys at Road and River have been a great support in 2018 and I look forward to the upcoming season.”
With a clear vision for 2019, Foot is already working on her race craft and fitness which will put her in a great position for the opening Australian Off-Road Championship round on March 9, in Gympie, Queensland.
“We’re thrilled to announce Danielle will be racing with Sherco and Road and River again in 2019,” said Sherco Australia’s Stephen Tuff. “Danielle proved to be consistent and fierce competitor this year and I expect she’ll take that up another notch in 2019.”
