Another Aussie hard enduro round, another sensational 1-2 for Sherco!

And it was the all-conquering duo of Chris Perry and Anthony Solar – who’ve both been in a rich vein of form all year – stealing the headlines again, finishing first and second on an extremely technical layout at the penultimate round in Hillston (NSW).

The scene is now set for a humdinger of a Gold class finale in Tasmania on September 24-25, with Perry back in the championship lead on 1830pts ahead of Solar on 1800pts.

"It was another tough, rocky event," said Perry. "Anthony (Solar) set a solid pace from the outset and I had to make a risky pass in the final stages to take the win and reclaim the championship lead."

Ruben Chadwick was third in Hillston ahead of Wade Ibrahim and Sherco’s rising star Tom Woodhouse who spent a fair chunk of the race in third.

Woodhouse is also fifth in the standings on 1610pts, behind Ibrahim (1720) and Chadwick (1690).

Keep an eye on www.grassrootsenduro.com.au as the results from Hillston are published.

The final Tassie round, a GPS-navigated event, will be held in the village of Poatina, which will also host the end-of-year celebrations.

Then the nation’s best riders will then converge on Victoria for the prestigious Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro on November 6 – where Motul Pirelli Sherco Race Team star Tim Coleman is set to make his long-awaited comeback to the genre.

Coleman won the last Wildwood event in 2020.
