Sherco has drawn first blood in the 2022 Hard Enduro World Championship, with factory rider Mario Roman winning round one in Israel from April 5-7.
In sweltering conditions near the Dead Sea, Roman and teammate Wade Young hit the ground running from the get-go on their 300 SE Factory machines in the 'Minus 400' event, remaining 1-2 for a good portion of the race.
Roman then increased his pace to guarantee victory in the season opener, while Wade made a navigation mistake which ultimately cost him a top three finish. He finished fifth.
Billy Bolt and Graham Jarvis completed the podium.
RESULTS HERE "My first win since 2019, so I couldn't be happier," said Roman. "I've been working so hard over the last few months preparing for this event, and the support I've received has been unbelievable."
Round two – of eight – will be held in Serbia from May 18-21.
