Sherco factory duo Mario Roman and last-start winner Wade Young have finished fourth and fifth on their 300 SE Factory two-strokes in the 24MX Hixpania Hard Enduro in Spain – the penultimate round of the 2021 world title.
In what Young described as an “epic course”, the event was won by local star Alfredo Gomez ahead of Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler, with Roman the only other rider to finish on the same lap as the top three.
Young was a further two laps in arrears, maintaining third position in the championship and still within striking distance of Bolt and Lettenbichler ahead of the final round in Germany on October 30.
