TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT

24/08/2021

A typically rugged, technical and unrelenting extreme setting greeted riders for an intense round five of the 2021 Hard Enduro World Championship in Sequatchie, Tennessee on August 13.

Fresh from podium results in the iconic Romanics extreme enduro, Sherco Racing Factory pair Wade Young and Mario Roman (both 300 SE Factory) continued to push hard on the other side of the Atlantic, finishing fourth and fifth in the knockout format.

With the heat and humidity ever-present, Young finished only 16 seconds behind third-placed Trystan Hart in the six-lap 40-minute finale, with the event won by Billy Bolt ahead of Manuel Lettenbichler.

The championship now heads back to Europe for round six in Poland on September 11, followed by Spain on October 1 and Germany on October 29.

Young (40pts) and Roman (37pts) remain in the championship hunt, behind Lettenbichler (54pts) and Bolt (53pts).
