A truly global talent, Coleman ended 2020 in arguably career-best form and heads into the 2021 season as a hot favourite for any and all domestic Hard Enduro events he is entered in.
With the Covid 19 pandemic miring much of Tim’s 2020 season, his return to both racing and Motul Pirelli Sherco support is a welcome one. Furthering the Victorian’s excitement is the continued development of the exciting Grassroot’s Enduro Australia series, which is set to provide a truly professional championship in 2021.
Competing aboard both familiar and new machinery, Tim is set to take on the challenges of this season aboard two updated models in the Sherco 250SE and 300SE Factory. Both models have seen significant updates for 2021 and the changes have prompted great feedback from Coleman in pre-season testing.
“It sounds pretty cliche for a sponsored rider to say every bike in the range is awesome but it really is the case this year with Sherco. I tested a few different models over the off season and in the end found myself struggling to decide which bike I preferred out of the 250SE and 300SE Factory so in the end I’ve decided to try out both in competition”.
“I’ve put in a lot of work over the off-season and couldn’t be more excited to take on this year with the Support of the Motul Pirelli Sherco team and all of the team sponsors”.
Excited for Coleman’s return, Motul Pirelli Sherco team manager Derek Grundy has commented on the re-signing of the popular Victorian.
“Despite all of the restrictions for our first year together, I believe Tim is coming into this second season incredibly motivated and in great form. Late last year his conditioning and pace at Wildwood was nothing short of fantastic and he’s carried that through the off season with plenty of training, bike time and testing.
Everyone here at Sherco Australia and our associated team sponsors couldn’t be more excited to see how he fares in this year's Grassroots Enduro Australia series which is an awesome platform for his talents and a growing spectacle of its own”.
Joining Tim through his 2021 racing schedule and continuing with support from Sherco Australia is Ina Coleman, Tim’s partner and a fantastic competitor/ambassador who is carving her own path in the Hard Enduro space.
Motul Pirelli Sherco team manager Derek Grundy had this to say about the continued support of Ina’s efforts:
“We are absolutely ecstatic to have Ina back on board again this year”.
“Beyond being a fantastic ambassador for our brand and women in motorcycling, I believe she has also been putting in a lot of hard work over the off season so it will be interesting to see where she fits in as competition commences. We can’t wait to see how Ina progresses throughout 2021 and look forward to her continued feedback on the Sherco 125SE Racing”.
Competition for both Tim and Ina kicks off this weekend at the Tenterfield Terror in NSW as Round 1 of the Grassroots Enduro Australia series kicks off a busy year of competition.
From the entire team at Sherco Australia, we wish Tim and Ina the best of luck and extend an enormous thanks to Motul, Pirelli and our entire 2021 roster of fantastic sponsors who make racing at this level possible.
