The brutal Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro has seen a consistent display of international talent since its inception, but travel restrictions this year meant three-time winner Wade Young of South Africa was unable to add to his Sherco-mounted three-peat in 2020.

With the door left open for a new rider to take the top spot, domestic competition was as hot as ever and, after a gruelling day of competition, event favourite Tim Coleman rose to the occasion. Improving on his previous podium finishes, Coleman took his first Wildwood victory and extended Sherco’s win streak to four years running.

“Wildwood was my first Hard Enduro and I’d never taken home the win, so it’s something I’ve really wanted to tick off my racing bucket-list,” Coleman said. “The field may have been slightly depleted, but there was still great competition there and I had to really have a crack to bring home the win.

“The new 2021 Sherco 300 SE Factory feels great honestly. It’s just so good for this type of racing, and having the full support of the Sherco Factory Team made a big difference on the day. I’m already excited for next year's event.”

Success at Wildwood in 2020 wasn’t limited to the top step of the podium as fellow Sherco-mounted riders Callum Ceglinski and Ben Grabham brought home second and third place respectively, creating a clean sweep of the Gold Class podium.

With a noticeable presence across all classes, Motul Pirelli Sherco team manager Derek Grundy was impressed with the number of Sherco machines proudly on display throughout the 2020 instalment of Wildwood Rock.

“Competing for the top step of the podium is obviously a big part of our ambitions at Sherco Australia, but it’s every bit as rewarding to see so many people riding our bikes in other classes,” Grundy said.

“We know we’ve got a really fun and competitive package for every level of rider, so to see a start line full of Sherco models is a great feeling and proof the brand is well established here in Australia.

“With limited events available to riders and fans through 2020, this year’s Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro was a great success for all involved, and we can’t wait to start prepping for the 2021 season”.
