Dalton Johnson to race with Bike Barn Sherco Tasmania in pursuit of National title

Sherco Australia welcomes Tasmanian off-road rider Dalton Johnson to the brand and to the Team supported by Bike Barn in Hobart. The 20 year-old from North Motton will race a Sherco 250 SE-R two-stroke in the southern Tasmania off-road series and alongside the Motul Pirelli Sherco Team in the Australian Off-Road Championship.

Johnson is no stranger to Australian Off-Road Championship competition having graced the podium on two occasions, highlighted by a first place in the final round of the 2016 Under-19 Championship. For 2020, Johnson will race in the 2T Cup for two-stroke motorcycles from 125cc to 250cc capacity.

The 12-round Championship begins in Toowoomba, Queensland on February 22 where the first two rounds will take place over the weekend. Johnson will also contest the Hattah Desert Race near Mildura in Victoria in July where he will face his toughest challenge in what is regarded as one of the most physically demanding events on the calendar.

“A supported ride has always been something I have wanted,” offered Johnson. “This is a great opportunity for me. All the racers I have admired, I am now going to be racing with.”
