American hard enduro star Cody Webb has left KTM and joined the Sherco family. The three-time AMA EnduroCross champion and 2018 FIM SuperEnduro champion will race a 300 SE Factory edition for the FactoryONE Sherco Team.
“This is a huge announcement for Sherco, not just in the USA but globally,” said Sherco Australia’s Stephen Tuff. “Cody Webb is a superstar of hard enduro and the dirt bike market in the USA is massive. History shows the popularity of trending off-road habits in the USA spill over to the rest of the world and the response from the news of Webb riding Sherco has already reverberated around the globe. This is just the beginning of bigger things to come.”
Sherco is already well established in hard enduro with Wade Young and Mario Roman racing all major international extreme off-road events with Young claiming the 2019 American Hard Enduro Series. Webb will add a third and very strong component in this sector.
“Sherco will be well represented in 2020 in the area of hard enduro,” Tuff explained. “While Webb is based in the USA and will contest the 2020 American Hard Enduro Series, you can expect to see him back at Erzberg where he placed second on his first attempt in 2016 and third in 2017. There’s certainly a lot of excitement surrounding Webb racing with Sherco and we’re all looking forward to seeing him on the start line in 2020.”
