As the kick-off to the 2018 Australian Off-Road Championship edges closer, the Motul Pirelli Sherco Off-Road Team is pleased to announce their riders will be protected by the best equipment available from Alpinestars and Bell.
“Alpinestars is extremely happy to continue supporting the Sherco off-road team, said Steve Jennings from Alpinestars Australia. “They’re a great team of fun loving riders, racing for all the right reasons.”
Team riders will wear Bell Moto 9 Flex helmets and Alpinestars Techstar pants, jersey and gloves along with the word-famous Tech 10 boot.
“Alpinestars and Bell are both iconic brands in motorcycle sport and having that level of prestige, not to mention supreme quality in comfort and safety backing our Team is great,” said Motul Pirelli Sherco Team manager Derek Grundy.
Alpinestars Techstar riding gear is the premium line from Alpinestars off-road with unique features such as carefully located venting to keep riders cool in the heat of competition and pre-curved sleeves and pre-bent knee sections for perfect fit. Leather inner-leg panels provide excellent grip on the bike while resisting wear.
“The Techstar gear is top-shelf in regard to comfort and functionality,” Grundy continued. “It wears incredibly well and always washes well. Our riders certainly enjoy wearing Alpinetars and they look good doing it.”
The Tech 10 boot has proven to be an industry favourite amongst motocross and enduro races the world over and the Motul Pireli Team is no exception.
“I feel safe in the The Tech 10,” said Motul Pirelli Sherco Team rider Andy Wilksch. “The difference is the great fit. The inner bootie offers the best ankle protection and there’s an insane level of comfort. I have raced in new Tech 10s straight out of the box with no run-in time at all. I love them. And they look cool. It’s the same for the Bell Moto 9 Flex helmet. The fit is supreme. They seem to mould to my face better than any other helmet I have tried which makes me feel safe to push the limits. The ventilation is also great. I’ve been practicing and testing throughout the summer months and remained comfortable so that’s a big tick from me.”
The Motul Pirelli Sherco Team will race the opening rounds of the Australian Off-Road Champion in Gympie, Queensland, March 10-11.
