Sherco fans were treated to a special Dirt Bike Demo Day at Calder Park Raceway on Sunday 19 July with dirt bike riders given the opportunity to test all the latest enduro bikes on the market.
Brand Manager, Stephen Tuff said he was pleased with how well the day was planned and ran by promoters RBP promotions.
Sherco was joined by KTM, Husqvarna, Yamaha, Beta and Suzuki who all got together with their latest enduro bike weapons to test ride any bike.
Organisers put together a 15 minute one off Enduro loop so each of the 120 riders could put their chosen machine to the test and compare bikes before they buy.
The try before you buy concept was so well received by manufacturers and riders that further motorcycling industry leaders came on board for the day.
Dirt Bike Demo Day promotor Dave Robbins said, “The response we have had from riders, dealers and trade has been very positive. The dealers are happy they have got genuine customers coming to test their bikes. The riders are happy they can test each machine on the same track to make an informed decision on their next dirt bike.
“It’s like taking the bike shop to the customer and having an opportunity not previously available for all models at once.
“The Enduro loop marked out on the hills at the back of the thunderdome tested every Enduro rider’s skills. From tight flowing undulating tracks, to sand sections, creek crossings, up and down hills and then finish off with a grass track MX at Calder Raceway. We even left the fun parts of the Enduro-x track in. Every rider made a comment on how good the track was and when we are going to have our next event there.” Robbins said.
Sherco Australia Brand Manager, Stephen Tuff said that like most participants on the day, he looked forward to the next one.
Organisers thanked dealers, riders and Calder Park raceway management for what promises to be a ride/trade day of the future. Go to www.dirtbikedemodays.com
