Fresh from her world-beating efforts at the International Six Day Enduro in Argentina, Jess Gardiner is gearing up for her third attempt at completing the Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro this Sunday, November 23.
The cross country event held just outside of Melbourne is well known for its extreme conditions has a gruelling reputation for claiming riders and their machines.
“I’ve entered this race the past two years and haven’t managed to finish one yet,” explained a determined Jess Gardiner this week.
“I drowned my bike in the exact same water hole the last two years but I’m determined to get through this year. It’s a really hard event because it’s so technical but it’s a lot of fun. It’s a great way to finish off the racing year.”
“Each year I enter the race with my best friend Kristy McKinnon and we usually dress up for this race. We’ve been B1 and B2 from Bananas in Pyjamas and last year we dressed up in pink tutus.”
The Wildwood Rock Extreme takes place this Sunday at 227 Feehans Road, Wildwood, Victoria. The action kicks off from 9.00am.
