The 2019 World Enduro GP Championship began in Germany over the weekend where New Zealand’s Hamish Macdonald scored perfect results. The young Sherco racer from the South Island of New Zealand dominated the 125cc Youth Cup from start to finish.
Macdonald raced to victory in Friday night’s Superpole which sent a warning shot to his competitors. The Kiwi was in devastating form all weekend and easily accounted for his rivals, taking victory on Saturday aboard the Sherco 125 SE-R.
Sunday saw Macdonald yet again performing at his best with a relentless attack on the course that saw him finish well over a minute clear of his neatest competitor. With the double victory complete, Macdonald will head into the next Enduro GP as the Championship leader.
The understated Kiwi simply saying, “Couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2019.”
