The partnership between Sherco, Motul and Pirelli began in 2015 when the three brands joined forces to tackle the Australian off-road racing scene. Since then Motul, Pirelli and Sherco have remained loyal, working towards the common goal of showcasing the best products to the Australian off-road public. With three Australian Off-Road Championships and numerous other victories, the winning formula of the Motul Pirelli Sherco Team will continue in 2019.
“We feel incredibly fortunate to have such iconic industry giants standing beside us and backing us up to go racing,” said Sherco Australia’s Stephen Tuff. “Motul and Pirelli support us with the best products and trust us to put them to work in the toughest conditions. We’ve proven our bikes are at the top level of competition and Motul and Pirelli certainly play a large part in our success.”
The Motul Pirelli Sherco Team has retained Andy Wilksch and Nathan Trigg to spearhead the Team’s racing efforts in 2019 with Wilksch racing the new Sherco 500 SEF Factory edition in the Australian Off-Road Championship that begins next week. Nathan Trigg’s 2019 racing begins this weekend with the Mallee Motorcycles Enduro MX held just south of Mildura. Trigg will also race the Finke and Hattah Desert race events along with selected cross country races on both the 450 SEF and 500 SEF Factory models.
“We’re not only proud to race with Motul and Pirelli, we also know we have the best lubricants and tyres for our Team,” said Motul Pirelli Sherco Team manager Derek Grundy. “We predominantly use the Pirelli Scorpion XC mid-soft tyres for the majority of our racing and the Pirelli Scorpion Rally for the desert. And we trust Motul 7100 10W60 in our four-stroke engines. The whole range from Motul is high quality. From air filter oil to parts cleaner and coolant, Motul is the lifeblood of our motorcycles.”
