Sherco Australia’s off-road racing team gained a privileged insight into the working of Sherco at the company’s new manufacturing plant in Nimes, France this week. The Motul Pirelli Sherco Team visited Sherco headquarters in the south of France ahead the EnduroGP of Germany this coming weekend where Andy Wilksch is set to race the final round of the 2017 world championship EnduroGP season in Zschopau, Germany.
Motul Pirelli Team boss Dave Suter and team riders, Derek Grundy, Kate Norman and Andy Wilksch met with Sherco owner Marc Teissier along with senior Sherco personnel, Thomas Teissier and Ben Bremond.
“It was a pleasure to attend them,” said Bremond. “We visited the factory, the showroom and had lunch together. They also have met Marc and Thomas Teissier. We should also meet them in Germany with Thomas this weekend.”
The Factory visit incorporated inspecting the production line of the manufacturing process and learned of Sherco’s quality control process.
“The factory is brand new,” said an excited and suitably impressed Kate Norman. “The new building is four-times the size of the old one and very impressive. Sherco owner Marc Teissier and his son, Thomas took us on the tour. They are both so passionate about the brand and gave us a great insight into what goes on behind the scenes.”
The Motul Pirelli Sherco Team is now in transit to Germany where they will meet with the CH Racing Team and begin preparations for Wilksch’s EnduroGP effort this coming weekend. Wilksch will race a Sherco 300 SEF-R supplied by the CH Racing Team.
