Australia’s Matthew Phillips was scorching on Day-4 of the International Six Day Enduro in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France. The Tasmanian picked up the pace and placed third for the day in the E3 Class aboard his Sherco 300 SE-R.
The Australian Trophy Team of Phillips, Josh Green, Daniel Sanders and Daniel Milner remain in second place of the ISDE Trophy Team category, trailing the home team of France with Finland in third.
With just two days of racing remaining, Phillips is sitting in fourth place in the E3 Class and 16th place overall across all classes.
Team France rider Jeremy Tarroux was again flying on the Sherco 250 SEF-R to claim third place for Day-4 in the E1 Class. Tarroux remains in second place after four days in the E1 Class and fourth place overall across all classes.
The Australia Club Team of Ben Kearns, Shane Watts and Scott Campbell has slipped back to 25th place. Kearns remains the lead rider in the Team with his Sherco powering him to some clean special test times.
The Australian Women’s Trophy Team now holds a commanding lead over the USA and France.
Day-5 of racing will commence tonight (Australian time) on the same course as Day-4 which will test man and machine as the course deteriorates and become rougher.
