Moto Central Group, the Australian Sherco importers recently
organized a successful Sherco Academy Training Camp in Australia
during the first week of November.
The Instructors for this Training camp were Former World
No.3 & SSDT Winner Joan Pons (Spain), European Junior
Champion Christian Kregeloh (Germany) & Australian Masters
Champion Don Murray.
The riders in the school were all taken through some basic
stretching exercises prior to beginning the training. The
riders were split up into groups & Pons set up some basic
techniques for all the riders to try. Pons also assisted all
the riders with correct bike setup including handlebar &
lever positioning.
The second day consisted of more pre-training stretches followed
by bike maintenance tips then into some more training. The
techniques for the harder group included big steps & balancing
tips on tops of rocks. The lower grades worked hard on good
cornering techniques as well as front & rear wheel hopping.
The Academy concluded with an impressive Feet Up display on
the rocks by Joan Pons and some of the top riders in the school.

Sherco's evolutionary work in the Enduro discipline is
based primarily on the experience gained through actual competition.
The team and machines are very new in every way to this discipline;
however the results are beginning to arrive. The results have
been even better than expected and can be best described as
"Surprising".
In all of this development work the riders are the fundamental
pillar, and in Spain, Joan Pedrero and his equipment have
demonstrated perfectly that the future of Sherco in this sport
is very promising.
The fruit of all of this work has been the magnificent fourth
place final seat in the E2 category for the Championship of
Spain and the title of Champion of Catalunya in the 4T category.
Because of these excellent results and his magnificent resume,
Joan has been invited to compete in the prestigious Indoor
Enduro of Barcelona. This is a fantastic culmination of an
excellent first season for Sherco and Joan Pedrero.
