| Albert Cabestany decided
to ride the 3.2 4T in the 35th edition of the Three Days of
Santigosa, a long term motorcycle test which set apart a special
day dedicated to elite riders. This is the first time that Albert
has competed on the 3.2. As you would expect the presence of
the new motorcycle in the hands of such a famous rider caused
a notable stir among the spectators and other competitors. The
sections were very slippery and everyone was amazed, including
Albert, at how well the 3.2 performed. Albert finished the event
very satisfied with the performance of the motorcycle, this
is the first time that he has ridden it in an actual event,
he did not rule out utilizing it again if the occasion arose. |

| The first round of the
European Enduro Championship (Class I) was held on the Italian
island of Sardinia. This was the debut race for the young French
rider Jeremy Joly in this class, Jeremy competing on the Sherco
125 Enduro bike, obtained some excellent results, he won the
race on the second day, this gave him third place overall for
the two day event. This is an outstanding start for the young
rider who just moved up to this class and confirms our faith
in his ability and the strength of the new motorcycle. Jeremy
began the race somewhat nervous because of the responsibility
that was placed on his shoulders; however he rose to the occasion
and in spite of several falls the first day he had a decent
finish. The second day he was much calmer and the results showed
the improvement, the young rider came through with a win, defeating
all of the other strong young riders. Jeremy finished very satisfied
with the behavior of the Sherco 125 and trusts that as he continues
to gain experience on the bike the results will continue to
get better. |

| We all know about the
amazing things that can be done on a trials motorcycle when
ridden by a professional rider. But to enjoy a round of tennis
while riding a trials bike stretches the imagination. But as
often is the case, reality often surpasses fiction; in this
case Tennis champion Juan Carlos Ferrero and Albert Cabestany
decided to attempt an amazing feat. While both men were riding
Sherco trials bikes they volleyed some balls back and forth.
Albert made a surprise visit to the Tennis Club of Valencia
and after negotiating some difficult obstacles came upon Juan
Carlos who was practicing. A good natured challenge was issued
and they put on quite a show for the surprised guests. |

| The Sherco Enduro Team
has again been very successful in the discipline. In the recent
"GRAPPE OF CYRANO" Enduro, a two day race, which was
held in the vicinity of Dordogne, in the southwest of France
the team, did very well. This is a race which is very popular
and always has a large number of participants in all categories.
The Blue riders achieved victories in several classes. Laurent
Charbonnel won the class reserved for national riders in the
over 250 cc class. Thierry Klutz dominated in the International
3, with Michael Vukcevic fourth and Jean Memmi fifth, while
Didier Tirard, Director of Sherco France, finished second in
the Promo class for motorcycles that are over 250 cc's. |
