Sherco will field a Team in the World Trials Championship

Sherco will be have a team competing in all of the 2006 World Trials Championships, the first event is scheduled for this coming weekend (Apr 2nd) in Nigrán (Galicia/Spain).  Josep Rovira Paxau will be the chief of the powerful team created around the two official riders, Albert Cabestany (2.9) and Loris Gubian (1.25). The rest of the team consists of Victor Colomer, Jorge Alonso, Víctor Colomer Jr, Francesc Cabestany and Dani Garcia. Albert will be supported by the expert Lluis Gallach who will be his minder, while Christian Derthou will exercise the same function for the young rider Gubian. Sherco will also provide a complete truck that is the workshop/ hospitality center for the riders. The truck will also offer service, aid and spares for the remainder of the Sherco riders.

With Albert Cabestany and Loris Gubian as the riders

Josep R. Paxau has this to say about his confidence in the team: “Our objective is to be in a position to podium in each event. We believe that if we do that we can win the Championship of the World, we are very conscious that the competition will be very hard, however if we manage to maintain a regularity in the results we will achieve our goal. The incorporation of Lluis Gallach has been fundamental so that Albert Cabestany can ride with greater concentration and confidence, his experience is very important in this sense”. During the winter we have made many changes to Albert’s motorcycle and we believe that those changes will pay off, we are very hopeful about the first event.”
