Sherco
is becoming accustomed to success in the annual Toni Soler Memorial
Race |

The three official Sherco riders finished near the
top of the classification in the largest field ever
for the race, Thierry Klutz managed to win a spot on
the podium.
A total of 1,075 riders participated in the 8th annual
Toni Soler Memorial race, this race is held early each
year and is used by many riders as preparation for the
coming season. One of the characteristics of this race
is that it is always very difficult. In this very difficult
race the Sherco name shined very brightly, in that the
three official riders finished third, ninth and eleventh.
The race is held near the city of Bassella. 30 Km of
the race went through an area that was snow covered,
this made for a very hard test for the riders and the
machines. A great quantity of sticky clay lay under
the snow cover which made some sections practically
impassable. This area was so difficult that both Thierry
Klutz and Michael Vukcevic were in positions to podium.
Thierry did manage to finish third behind Xavier Galindo
and Arnau Vilanova, but the clay caused a problem with
the rear brake on Michaels bike which relegated him
to ninth position, just in front of Joan Pedrero who
finished 11th. Joan suffered from a bad exit which allowed
more than fifty riders to pass him, Joan worked hard
and managed to obtain 11th overall.
These results are absolutely fantastic for the men
in blue, in one of the hardest races of the season.

The Sherco rider was one of only six riders who
managed to complete the difficult Hell's Gate Enduro.
After finishing in second place in the recent enduro
race called "The Tough One" Graham signed
up to compete in the "Hell's Gate Enduro"
on the Sherco 4.5i Enduro. The "Hell's Gate"
is one of the most difficult races in the world. The
race which is promoted by Fabio Fasola is held in some
of the most rugged terrain in the Italian Apennines
and is characterized by its abundance of clay, ice,
snow and rocks. This terrain becomes a very formidable
adversary. The very difficult terrain and the long and
difficult night section caused a real fiasco among the
participants, so much so that only six riders managed
to reach the finish line, among these six finishers
was one Graham Jarvis at the controls of the Sherco
4.5i. Graham finished in fifth place surrounded by some
of the best Enduro riders in the world. This proves
once again that Sherco has designed a solid, reliable
bike for competing in the most difficult enduro races
in the world. It also shows that Graham has the skills
to compete against the best Enduro racers in the world.
