Two new versions and the creation of the "Sherco Cup" are the first fruits of a successful season for the Sherco Supermotard 50.

The Sherco Supermotard 50 introduction and performance have been so successful that we are pleased to announce the release of two new models and the creation of the "Sherco Cup" for the Championship of France 50cc Supermotard Series.

After only a single year of production the new Sherco Supermotard 50 has taken a significant portion of this highly competitive segment of the market. Sherco can very proudly announce that the Supermotard 50 is the winner of the 2002 50cc Supermotard Championship of France. The Sherco Supermotard 50 defeated other brands that have much more experience in racing. The solid technical base along with the outstanding factory support that characterizes everything that Sherco does in the racing arena is a significant key to this phenomenal success.

In order to celebrate this triumph, Sherco is releasing two new versions of the victorious Supermotard 50 for 2003. One of them will be called the "Limited Edition Champion of France" this model will be a street version of the bike that Yoan Marche rode to the top podium position on the French circuit. The aluminum rims will be hard gold anodized; a handcrafted and high performance exhaust pipe gives another life to the engine and the colors and graphics will identify it as a replica of the bike that won the French Championship. The bike will be fitted with number plates that carry the number 1 to further identify it with the bike ridden by Yoan to the championship.

The other new version will also be a street model and will include colors and graphics of one of Sherco's most prestigious sponsors, Ipone, it will simply be called "Ipone Replica". In addition to its unique graphics it will include a complete supply of Ipone lubricants along with literature from Ipone on how to maintain the bike.

The last item of good news referring to the Supermotard 50 series is the announcement of the creation of the Sherco Cup for riders competing in the 50cc class in the Championship of France Supermotard series. Riders who wish to compete in this series on a Supermotard 50 will have a new factory prepared Sherco Supermotard 50. This Cup, limited to 25 riders, includes a Racing Suit, Gloves, Helmet, Boots and Goggles. In addition, Sherco will give 11.000 € in prizes plus includes full technical support along with all of the fuel and lubricants required for the completion of the six races that make up this series. Sherco will provide these riders with complete factory updates as the season progresses. Is there a better offer anywhere ?

The New Factory Youth/Women's Team for 2003.

In an unprecedented step by a trials motorcycle factory to invest in riders of the future, Sherco is proud to announce a new, eleven rider team to contest the world's most prestigious youth and women's championship events.

Says Andreu Codina, Sherco Team Manager, "We are very pleased to be the first factory to field a trials team focusing on Youth and Women. As you know, years of training, development, and competition are required to develop World-class competitors, and our new program helps formalize this process. We hope to help develop firm foundations in a variety of areas for our factory riders.

Our eleven-person team consists of riders who will contest three major competitions: The Junior World Championship, The Women's Cup, and The Youth Cup. We have hand-picked some of the most promising riders in these three categories from three different continents, and seven different countries.

We will be holding a number of Sherco Training Camps in Spain for these riders, assisting them in developing their skill sets to custom-match their needs. Our goal is to give this unique group of riders not only the best equipment in the world as specially prepared by Sherco designer Josep Paxau, but also the best training in the world, as well."
