The Otyan Team rider Marc Freixa starts the
new season with a superb 2nd places at the first and second Indoor Championship
rounds. The constant training during the winter and Sherco bike tunning it has
given an excellent confidence to the whole Team. Here you have some pictures of

| Ryan Young Products introduces his Sherco marketing
tools. |
|
It is clear that each country has its own particular
way to introduce products into the market. In the case of Trials in the USA,
the best way to promote the sport, is to show the sport and promote the
product. This is how Ryan Young is focusing his marketing plan of promoting
Trials and Sherco at the same time. |
|

|
Ryan says: "we place separate adds for the
motorcycles so we are on more pages of the magazine. We want the readers to see
us on every page. Also you can see our message is different for each bike, for
example, we promote the 2.0 for the ladies and the 1.25 for the kids. We rotate
the full page black and white 1.25 and 2.0 adds every other month". Ryan's
strategy is based on: |

» Providing the
best national support for all Sherco riders at all the Nationals with a huge
parts inventory, tools and a full time mechanic, all in a 45 foot long trailer
with bed, kitchen and shower. |

» Sherco has a
great warranty program that we pass on to the customers by sending them
replacement parts out same day no questions asked. |
|
» A 28 foot long
trailer separate from Sherco motorcycles, just for the RYP accessories for all
brands. Again this gives us two locations to touch the public at all National
events. |
|
» Other
promotions which include starting a National Youth Series that is held the same
day as the National adult championships. This Youth series, started by Ryan,
was also completely administered by Ryan for the first two years. The series is
aptly named the Ryan Young National Youth Trials Series. The youth events are
now mandatory for the organizers to do at every AMA/NATC National Championship.
This series was started before there were any youth bikes available by the
major manufacturers. "I just knew we had to start something for the youth if
we were going to have new growth coming into trials". Sherco sponsors all
the youth trophies. |

» All the
Ryan Young Techniques will be put into a training book that will be produced in
5 languages and distributed world wide. This promotes better trials techniques
and more Sherco sales. All techniques are demonstrated by Sherco riders
only.
» All shop
light articles and Raymond Peters tips will be put into a book and made into
the best ever shop manual promoting better maintained trials bikes. The
articles also promote Sherco sales since the featured bike is a 2001 Sherco 2.9

» We have worked
hard to become exclusive distributors in the US for Trials items. Our first
break was when we were given the exclusive right to distribute all of Top Fun's
items into the US. After working With
Top Fun for a few years and
growing their sales and market into the US, we were able to show this sales
information to others and prove we could boost their sales in the US. We did it
again with Gaerne Trials Boots. Gaerne was selling 200 pair of their Trials
boots through a non Trials Distributor/network. Through the RYP network of
Trials dealers established through years, we were able to increase the sales of
Gaerne Trials boots by 250% the first year and today just three years later are
selling over 900 pairs of Gaerne Trials boots a year. With this information we
were able to attract others for distribution of their products in the US. We
now distribute many top Trials Products in the US: Renthal, Michelin, Regina,
Galfer, Aktive reeds, Sureflex Clutches, Clice, NZI, Arrow, Twin air filters,
Minter Spark arrestors and many more. |

» We also
produced and distribute a new video featuring all aspects of Trials starting
with trick riding and then going into National trials, youth trials, vintage
trials, trials schools, bicycle trials, and interviews with some famous Trials
riders. Only Sherco riders were used for the trick riding and main footage of
the video. This product was designed to promote trials in general and sales of
Shercos. |
